Carl Grimes
Carl Grimes is the only child born of the marriage between Rick and Lori Grimes Grimes. After the outbreak of the zombie pandemic that swept the world and with his father in a coma, Carl, his mother and Shane Walsh escaped from King County heading to Atlanta in search of salvation, and took refuge in a camp of survivors on the outskirts of the city.
For several days the boy thought he had lost his father until suddenly one day he returned to meet him at the camp. Carl was quite happy to return to have your whole family together and after an attack on the settlement in guarding shelter, was forced to leave the place and start to wander aimlessly. Carl left with his family and other campers in search of a refuge where they could be safe, more yet all his attempts to try and find him were unsuccessful.
While searching for a missing Sophia in the woods, Carl was seriously wounded in the abdomen and was on the verge of death, but was fortunately saved by a veterinarian.
After recovering from his wound, Carl began to focus on helping her find her missing friend, and even began to practice how to shoot a gun. However, after the tragic discovery of the death of Sophia, Carl began to show symptoms of sociopathy, reaching even to rebel against their elders repeatedly. This new behavior of the child, mixed with his childlike nature, eventually led to the death of Dale and caused Carl began to realize that it was necessary to begin to mature early.
Maggie Greene
Maggie Greene is the eldest daughter of Hershel Greene and one of the survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Having unleashed the epidemic, she kept refuge in Greene Farm, where in accordance with his father decided to shut up in the barn walkers wandered around hoping to find a cure for them in the future.
After the arrival of Rick and his group to the farm Maggie met Glenn who quickly began a relationship. Although initially only felt purely sexual attraction towards the boy with every passing day the girl was developing stronger emotions and finally confessed to the boy who loved him.
Realizing the danger that Maggie hauled hikers became concerned that kept the creatures locked up in the barn and when finally the Atlanta group ended all Maggie did not show much opposition to what they had done and was the only family that retain an open mind throughout the situation.
After a horde of walkers had just invaded the farm and Maggie and her family joined the group of Rick and began traveling together in search of a safe place to live.

Glenn Rhee
Glenn Rhee is a young Asian who lived in Atlanta at the time of the outbreak and then joined a caravan of survivors on the outskirts of the city.
Glenn was the one who saved the lives of Rick Grimes after hearing the shots that made it through the streets of the city and see it entering a tank surrounded by zombies, and unintentionally was commissioned to make the man to meet again with his family.
After leaving Atlanta after the city was again deadlocked, Glenn found love in Greene Farm where, after initiating a purely sexual relationship with Maggie Greene, developed quite strong feelings to the girl. After going through several drawbacks, both young men were firmly cemented what was between the two and became a strong partner, becoming a pillar of hope within the group.

Daryl Dixon - The walking dead
Daryl Dixon is the younger brother of Merle Dixon and one of the survivors of Atlanta. Noted for its renegade, antisocial attitude within the group.
With great hunting instincts, impressive skills and physical prowess, Daryl has all the qualities to survive alone in a world overrun by undead.
Failing to try to rescue Merle Atlanta after he remained handcuffed to the roof of a building, Daryl decided to stay with the group led by Rick Grimes and embarked on a tour with them when the camp in which they lived was destroyed by walkers. Marked by the actions of his brother and his inability to socialize, Daryl was seen and treated as a potential threat to the group, but slowly the man was showing that it was completely the opposite of what everyone believed.
After Sophia Peletier was lost in the woods while escaping a dead, Daryl was the one who put more effort in your search, and managed to find several clues to their whereabouts. During this time, the man was demonstrating to the group his true self, finally finding a way to fit in with their peers, and at the same time was developing a special emotional bond with Carol. Despite their best efforts, the efforts of Daryl inmensurados were completely useless when the group discovered that Sophia had died and that it had been locked up in the barn of the farm on which they had saved refuge.
All the self-esteem that the man had been forging and sense of purpose within the group fell apart after the tragic outcome of the child, and believing again misplaced, Daryl considered abandoning his companions and travel on their own. Backed by the confidence that Rick started to put into it and realizing that there were difficult decisions and actions that the law enforcement officer was unable to perform, Daryl decided to throw the burden on his shoulder and began to be a sort of policeman's assassin. Daryl has since become the right hand of the leader of the group and on more than one occasion demonstrated his loyalty to him.

Rick Grimes
Rick Grimes is a police officer after being wounded during a shootout in the line of duty was in a coma for several months until he woke up in an apocalyptic world full of undead where known civilization had ceased to exist.
Driven by the idea to meet again with his family, Rick embarks on a dangerous journey to the city of Atlanta, where he is rescued from certain death by a group of survivors that take to live in a camp on the outskirts of the city. On site, miraculously Rick is reunited with his wife and son, as well as his lifelong friend Shane Walsh.
Rick quickly assumed leadership of the group, and together on a journey to try to find a safe place to live after the camp in which they lived was destroyed by the zombies.
Overwhelmed by his new status as leader, Rick is most difficult decisions my best and things get complicated after losing to a girl in the forest as he helped her escape a horde of walkers. Rick begins to be questioned by the other members of the group but eventually comes to a family farm owned by Greene, where Rick believes the group can stay and live a quiet life, especially after learning that his wife was pregnant. However, the group soon begins to annoy the owner of the place, who Rick urges them to leave after finding the missing girl.
Things end badly for Rick when the group learns that the farm barn was full of walkers and removed against the will of the farmer, especially when the girl they were looking ends turned into zombie.
Michonne's story
The Walking Dead: Michonne's story is a special story published in Playboy magazine in March 2012. It tells the story of Michonne unleashed when the zombie apocalypse.
Synopsis
This short story tells the life of Michonne before arriving at the prison and at the beginning of the disaster.
Plot
Michonne is running for his life a few walkers while thinking that he should stay in the office that day. Michonne starts to assume that your family, friends or colleagues are killed while running at the home of her boyfriend Mike, and this listener Michonne's desperate attempts to enter your home and quickly opened the door with his bat while eliminating a walker. Quickly Mike is bitten and his friend Terry thrilled by killing one of those things, just with that walker. Michonne and Terry Mike sold and heal after this incident.

Michonne wanted to find a gun to kill tube hikers but not so lucky. At night, Michonne was trapped in a house a block from his. He spent the night there, thinking still wearing the same clothes office a few days ago.
The next morning he came home and found a zombified Terry and Mike, who very frightened Michonne saw not capable of murder and locked in the basement with no arms or jaws. After a while, he realized that he had enough food, but was surrounded by walkers. She noticed that they do not eat each other by smell and after a few days with Mike and Terry went to find a place to go.

The Walking Dead ... Argument
The Walking Dead tells how Rick Grimes, a police officer originally from Kentucky U.S. awakens from a coma after an accident while on duty, to meet a world ravaged by bodies of fresh and eager, not knowing what happened to around, goes in search of his family. Over publications seen how a more seasoned Rick joins is finding survivors in search of a place to settle and be safe or at least able to cope with the zombie threat that stalks them.
Although in reality the cause of the appearance of the zombies is not revealed, they pass in later issues have a secondary role, leading to human and personal development of the characters and the different ways of dealing with this situation of persecution, death and destruction they have caused the death walkers
Main Characters

• Carl Grimes: The only son of Rick and Lori, was seven at the beginning of the story. Despite his young age teaches Rick handle a gun that takes no skill in killing zombies show.
